The Backstory
The artist, growing up in the 716 area in New York began hopping the train to the big apple as a young teen. Later, studying there and in southern California. This eventually led to the artist living and working in both New York and Los Angeles.
Tools and Materials
The standards: brushes, pens, pencils, ink, oil paint; on canvas, paper and wood. The new: media, web and video. The outsider: found objects, bi-product, plastic, metal, glass , dirt, ashes and dust. Oh yeah- performance: which includes everything, even you.
The Push
When one grows up in an art studio one might make art because one doesn't know any better. It's really about continuing to put one foot in front of the other, New works build on old projects as they are made in a process. As more works are created the on-going process morphs into a story.
